The front page of the April 2010 issue reports the latest US Hogs and Pigs data and how it is driving prices.  Page 2 describes the export performance of Brazilian pork exporters since 2004 and gives a country breakdown for 2009. The Canucks are off to a flying start in 2010m according to their trade figures on page 7. .Page 8 illustrates the USA trade data and exporters from the USA seem to be starting 2010 slowly. Page 10 records the poor performance of the Danes in the Japanese market in 2009 and on the same page South Korea's imports for early 2010 seem to be recovering. News in Short on page 11 covers; UK pigmeat exports data, Danish Crown's redundancies, the reopening of the Chinese market for US exporters, Russian meat production data, French pig numbers, Spanish meat production, and Brazil's expectations for exports in the next decade.
